Holiday Ruined

Features on this wall oven were great so that's why I chose to purchase it. Purchased on November 26, 2023. Was given a delivery date of December 9, 2023. Just in time for my holiday baking, right? Received an email a week before delivery stating that my delivery date has been changed to January 3, 2024. NOT happy because now I can't do my holiday baking and fulfill cookie orders. Well, just yesterday, December 18, 2023, I received another email stating that delivery will now be February 3, 2024. Is this Unacceptable...yes it is! Am I furious, YES to say the least. So, I call GE to inquire about the 3-month delay and was told that the item is on an 'EXTREME" backorder! What is an extreme backorder?!?!? I have NO oven and will not get one at the great sale price that I received for this back in November!!! GE how dare you sell an item that appears that you have no intentions of producing because you have removed the item from your website.

GE quality failure oven racks not level

Oven Racks can™€™t be leveled because the supports formed in the sides of the oven wall are not properly aligned. This is a serious manufacturing defect which probably applies to many of these ovens. GE sent technicians from two separate service companies to verify that the oven is installed correctly and level. After verifying that it is level, they tried replacing racks, but replacing racks can never fix the guides/supports built into the sides of the oven. Serious quality control problem. GE is supposed to understand that this must be properly aligned but somehow allowed misaligned Components to be installed in this oven. GE was not willing to help us with replacing the oven without additional charges! We paid a descent amount for this oven and I feel that we shouldn™€™t have to pay more to correct a manufacturer defect.

Some very valuable features. Love the ability to assess internal temp of food with probe, broil is very fast, heating is faster than older oven. However can not warm up both ovens at once. If so will blow electric braker. You have to first warm up one oven then once reaches target temp warm up other. Also I would rather have buttons than touch. A lot of times fingers ware wet from cooking or cold and oven will not recognize touch.

My prior experiences with GE were all excellent. But this oven is badly designed: 1. It takes too long to preheat, and to assuage user impatience, it signals it's at temp 75 degrees before it is. Repair guy said just assume 30 min. minimum to preheat, regardless of what visual display and "ding" tell you. Can ruin food! 2. Extension rack really dumb and impossible to use. What's the purpose? Asked Consumer Support for help and they were hopeless. A waste of time. 3. User manual has to be requested, and it's not very good (especially compared to my prior GE oven manual).
