Do not buy!! This is my first time buying an GE product and this dryer is not making a good case for me to become a repeat buyer. I had to replace the burnt heating element wire twice already and it just burnt again so this makes three times since I brought it three years ago. Its very frustrating to see that this is a common issue and still GE will not do anything about the situation. I spent too much money on this combo for it to need repairs this often.

It's probably in its last leg. Or a part needs to be replaced ... its producing heat. I vacuumed out the front screen area and the rear/egress as best I could. Withe flex pipe off it flows good cfm. The dryer takes 3 times to dry @90 minutes each. Is it getting too little heat, is there something else? Idk. It's been awsome until now. Anyone got ideas?

After owning this dryer for barely four years and only drying a maximum of 2 loads a week, the wiring to the heating element burned out and caused the heating element to stop working. After spending an hour on the phone trying to find a repair person and GE telling me there are no service people in my area, I finally found a company to come out and look at the issue. The reoair man™€™s first words were ™€œI can tell you the problem before I even take this apart because GE dryers always have the same issue and GE doesn™€™t do anything to fix it™€. And, of course, the part to fix the dryer is very expensive. Think twice before purchasing a GE dryer!

First dryer went out in four months. Think it was simply the heating element. The Crosley help line was fast to help after two calls found no Service in our area. They issued credit to supplier for the store we purchased it at. It took 10 calls to the store and the manager would NEVER call me back ! She NEVER did! However, the two employees who had to take my calls were ALWAYS POLITE! Eric and Andrew. Eric was the installer and he was MORE helpful than the manager ever was !! So after month and half, I was brought a replacement dryer. Eric was given approval to even bring it and install, dice we were 90 miles from the store !!!

Terrible quality of products used to build!

Nothing about this drier is right. The screws used to connect parts are all cheap and strip very easy. None of the wholes that are drilled for screws are aligned for the screws to into straight. The door does not close properly, and is causing lint to not stay on lint holder. So when you pull it out to clean it off, it slides off and down. Trying to get into drier to clean out the lint, and unable to due to screws stripping. Poor materials and quality!

Overall, a great dryer! Great control panel, nicely designed and good looking dryer. Not all features have been tried yet. Dries great. Only a few times I had to dry the cloths a second time, probably due to not selecting the correct setting™€¦still getting use to the best setting for different loads. The interior light comes on by fading on; cool feature. The glass window is a very nice feature.

This dryer has some real problems as the motherboard is fragile. I received service several days before the warrant expired June 11, 2022. It is now 2 months later, service vendor indicated motherboard needs to be replaced. Repair specialist indicated that this is one of the worst GE dryers. According to GE information model is no longer available. I understand why.

Might just be the worst dryer ever. December 5, 2022 paid $288.01 to replace the thermostat and heating element control thermostat, April 2023, a wire shorted out. Had dryer vent cleaned, $99.00 nothing was in it. July 21, 2023 paid $497.26 for replacement of dryer heater assembly. Repairman said airflow was low. Since I™€™m now in a different location I™€™m having the dryer vent inspected/ cleaned today. $99.00

Second time I have to replace the inlet thermistor and it also looks like I have to replace the outlet thermistor. Honestly this dryer has been a headache the wife hates the fact that no matter what setting you use, unless it™€™s ™€œtimed dry at 90 mins™€ you have to do re-dry the clothes again. I™€™ve had this for about 2 years now. The first year I had warranty and motherboard and inlet had to be replaced. I don™€™t recommend this headache. Wish I could take it back.

Element went out before 3 years of usage

Ive always loved GE brand applicances. But I am greatly disappointed in this one. A couple of weeks ago my dryer stopped heating. I called a repair man who wasnt able to repair it, saying it was probably the element (long story on why he didnt repair it). The element is almost half the cost of what I paid new for the dryer. Im now having to find someone else to try and repair it for me. Im so disappointed because its still quite new to me and Ive taken great care of it. They make everything so complicated now to work on so its hard to find a repair person. Of course the store I purchased it from wont help after one year of warranty. I wish that GE would make this right with me, my last washer and dryer lasted over 20 years and I didnt have to do a thing to repair it the entire time.

We bought this dryer from Home Depot in 2020 paid over $900 with the warranty! To date, 3 times repaired for heat, as it does not heat up! 1 time repaired for broken belt!
