We loved this dryer, but the heating element went out after only 5 years, as so many other reviewers have mentioned. Paid $599 for it brand new, had an estimate of repair for over $400. Disappointed!!! Looking for a new dryer rather than repairing it.

I love the look of this dryer. Very stylish and a cool gray look. I also would've loved it even more had the heating element not gone out in the short few years I've had it. It worked beautifully until yesterday. Don't think I could recommend this product just based off longevity.

Doesn't Dry

This dryer is absolutely terrible. My family and I have had ongoing issues with both this AND the washer since it was purchased a few years ago. This dryer may look pretty but it does not dry your clothes. Most of the time, the clothes are still damp or completely wet after a full cycle. And that is only if the dryer runs for the whole cycle. The dryer usually cuts off 5 minutes into me dryer my clothes. I don't know what the "sensor dry" is supposed to be "sensing" because my clothes are wet when it shuts the dryer off. The only way I am able to keep the dryer going for the whole cycle is to put it on "Timed Dry" which stinks because you cannot do much adjusting with the setting on timed dry. I do my laundry once a week. That is usually 2-3 loads. Between this washer and dryer, there is no reason why I'm spending a whole day only a few small loads. Overall, do not get this dryer unless you don't mind spending hours in your laundry room.

I am submitting this review because I was contacted about my negative review on my matching washer and submitted the information requested but no one responded again. What horrible customer appreciation and service. This dryer is currently working but it totally malfunctioned with 3 months of purchase. The control board was replaced back then but now that the washer is having the same issue, I really turned off to GE appliances. We have several others and I pray they keep working.

Stopped spinning, followed my manual. Confirmed the "computer board" was fried after consulting with a specialist (and hours of trial and error). was bought BRAND new, lasted like 4 years. can't find anything about the warranty on their website.

Beautiful dryer but does not dry clothes completely on a timed cycle. You have to use the sanitize setting which runs for 4 hours. The other setting do not dry completely. This dryer is costing me lots of electricity and slows down my laundry loads for a family of 4 with the dryer taking 4 hours to dry. It™€™s been 2 years since purchase and we needed repairs for a part that broke internally which needed to be ordered. If you do not have insurance the repairs are $$$. When you dry you have to have extremely light loads. We cannot dry all towels for the towel loads. They will dry damp them the rest will sour. We have had the filters cleaned and still no difference in drying. Maybe we purchased a lemon one I don™€™t know. This is an honest review. I would not recommend. It was costly not a cheap set and now costing my family more money and inconvenience. Repairs did not happened in a timely manner. There was only a certain company in my area that could fix this brand dryer so it took a while to get a technician scheduled out. In the meantime we had to use a laundromat. Little did we know, you cannot just dry your clothes there you have to wash them as well to use the facility. I would give it zero stars if I could. Please consider revamping this product. Also the paint on the inside peels off from the heat moisture when these clothes don™€™t dry.

Have had nothing but issues since I purchased the dryer. It squeaks loudly with heavier load. Have had it serviced numerous times. They replaced everything but the drum. I can™€™t handle the noise any longer. Replacing it tomorrow. It™€™s supposed to have sensor dry but it over heats my clothes quite frequently. On heavy loads like jeans I have to run the cycle twice. Will never purchase this brand again.

this product has an electrical design flaw. The purple common wire to the heating elements eventually burns through and fails. It's a time consuming process to disassemble the unit to get to the faulty wire to service this failure. I have repaired the product after three years of use, and after 4 months, the dryer again delivers no heat. The same wire is likely the problem. Clothes dryers are considered durable goods and should last 10 years. This unit is not durable.

Grey color shows too much dust/lint so top always looks messy. Low temperature is still too hot. My large comforter fits in but came out with a lot of lint on it. Flannel sheets take a long time to dry - especially elastic area of fitted sheet. Towels and underwear dry nicely. Door is very hard to shut. There are too many settings and it takes time to figure them out and not sure if they are all really necessary and different. I wanted white but it wasn't in stock and wait was too long.

We had to call for repairs it™€™s brand new as soon as we tried to use it we called Kirkish Furniture to repair it. It™€™s making a clunking noise as it rotates with only 2 sheets in the dryer or regular load. They looked at it & have now ordered parts

I love my dryer, it is a large capacity so drying large loads is not an issue. Learning which setting will get the job done is easy. Cleaning the lint is a breeze. The signal tone has a nice ring instead of the old appliances that have the alarming one.

Bought machine at scratch and dent, it was brand new but had scratch on front. Ran great for 8 months and then stopped heating up. Under 1 year warranty, BUT it was going to be 10 days before a tech could come and we need clean clothes before that time. Just ordered parts and fixed myself. Driers are pretty simple to fix. Would keep looking for another brand....seems obvious this company can't build quality to last.

I've used this dryer for just over two years and now it does not dry the clothes. It worked pretty good for 26 months, but it started to get so hot, you could not touch the clothes. Today, it does not get hot at all! The drum spins and the digital timer counts down the minutes and gives drying time updates, but no heat. I will contact GE to see what my options are. I will update this information as circumstances allow.

I like the drum size does fit my king comforter. I also like the extra spin option which the cloths dries much faster if you do that option. It does make a little sound when it wants to balance but not quite often only when it's a large load.

Takes forever to dry.

This is the worst dryer Iv'e ever owned. It will keep running, (sometimes for hours) and not shut off. Many times after over an hour of drying, clothes are still damp. They keep sending people out to fix it, but it's never fixed.
