The freezer makes a loud whirring sound sporadically and it won™™t stop. It is so disruptive and has completely ruined my sleep. I hate this garbage. The apartment needs to get rid of this Loud junk asap.

This is the worse refrigerator I have ever bought. I™™ve had to replace several parts. Once during the warranty which was free™¦ then the same part months later out of warranty. Now the motherboard doesn™™t work. Poorly constructed product.

We have nothing but great things to say about this refrigerator/freezer combo. Our food stays fresh, there is ample storage for drinks, food, condiments, and items in the freezer. The doors and drawers are removable for easy cleaning. We wish the dimensions were smaller based on our kitchen arrangement, but appreciate the size from a storage perspective. The filters are also easy to find for replacement, which is a must for us. We've had it two years and still going strong!

Not impressed or completely happy. bought less than 2 years ago, have had constant issues with the ice maker. now we can only get crushed ice no matter what setting it's on, it's stuck. the ice maker doesn't automatically stop when full, it keeps dumping more ice and it overflows and goes all over the freezer, in the refrigerator side, the drawers are already cracked and splitting, not made durable enough for normal useage and it makes loud noises when the water is filling the ice tray up and goes on for long periods of time. Oh and the door handles are not even, had someone come out and fix and then over the next month they slipped back to being uneven again. Strange. Would not purchase again.

I have this unit for 3 years and it has broken down during each year that I have had it. This time the cost of repair is more than I paid for the unit. I'm done with model and done with GE products.

DO NOT BUY THIS CHEAP PIECE OF CRAP! There's a reason why it's CHEAP, so BEWARE!!! Keep having water dispenser not dispensing water since I bought in 2020. Have tech repair for 6 times in 4 years to replace water inlet valve.

I bought this through Best Buy in about 2018. Its dead. 25 years? Im convinced Best Buy gets factory defects. Too short of a life for the money and inconvenience. Motorboatd and fan gone just like that! Fridgidaire here we come.

This was the best side-by-side refrigerator/freezer that we could find to fit in a fairly narrow space. We've been very pleased with the performance of the appliance and very much enjoy the available filtered water and ice. The layout in particular of the refrigerator is very functional and easy to use.

Great Fridge the only down fall is the water filter is coded to the fridge so you cant buy an after market filter to fit in the fridge. I just used the bypass filter and plumbed it into my RO system.

Works great when it is working it freezes up we changed the heater in it still freezes up. Ever 2 weeks we have to unplug it for 24 hours. Its a pain. Homedepot screwed us over on this fridge they will blnot refund or give us our warranty

Installed this refrigerator, purchased from Lowes, in my newly remodeled kitchen in May 2020. In February 2022, the freezer stops holding a temperature below 10 degrees F -- meaning stuff doesn't stay frozen, soft soupy ice cream, etc. After five visits from GE Certified Repair Techs (and their bills) the issue remains, and I am having to replace the fridge. I thought the GE name stood for quality (my neighbor growing up worked for GE), but not anymore! This is actually my second GE appliance installed in May 2020 that I had to replace after less than two years use! The GE name no longer represents the quality and reputation that it once did.

So far so good we have had the Unit for 1 month and it suits us just great.
Love the ice/water dispenser on the door. Easy to see what™™s in the freezer and refrigerator compartments.
Has a door alarm, it has a display temps for both compartments.
We like this unit.
Can™™t rate the performance as of yet, but so far it™™s been great

The one complaint that I have about this is that the ice maker/motor can get extremely loud. I work from home and even in another room, the unit can be heard clearly. The motor whizzes and buzzes for sometimes 20-30 minutes at a time, several times a day or sometimes it will go days without doing it. That™™s the only complaint I have.

So far I am really enjoying my new refrigerator. I love the fact that the shelves pull out and I could not find anybody else that had that feature. And I also love that the ice and water dispenser opening is big enough to get several different size items in there. Good job GE!

The fridge sits a few feet from the master bedroom door in the old 40's floor plan house. We don't notice noise any more than the over-2-decades-old appliance it replaced. If the doors or opened a lot e.g. when loading several bags of groceries, it goes into "motor boat" mode for a couple hours - loud(er) fan kicks in, but this is not especially common. Had to lower the set points a couple degrees each to get drinks as cool as old refrigerator.
