Freezer door issues

We bought this refrigerator as part of a total kitchen remodel. All of the appliances are GE, and we have been happy with all except the refrigerator. While still under warranty, we noticed rust at the bottom hinge of the freezer door. Dew™™s promptly replaced the hinge, and we thought the problem was solved. Shortly thereafter, rust appeared again. This time the service tech said that the problem was with the door not being properly sealed or insulated causing condensation, then rust. GE sent Dew™™s another door, and we paid to have the new door installed. Not even a year later, the replacement door is rusting. Clearly there is a major problem with this freezer door, how it™™s produced, sealed and insulated.
Instead of us having to continually pay to have new doors put on, GE should make a door that won™™t rust, or replace this refrigerator completely. I find it odd that this model is no longer being made.
Please help as we do not want the problem to continue until the door no longer functions.
Our appliance dealer, Dew™™s has been exceptionally helpful in trying to resolve this issue.

Nice refrigerator. Home Depot did not have one in store so had to order online. Narrower than I would like inside, but working well.
Complaint: so far only issue is shelves in door. Top one in refrigerator can only put VERY LIGHTWEIGHT items else it falls out.

This product does not have as much space inside (freezer or refrigerator sides) as my previous GE refrigerator. The freezer does not utilize space very well. The crushed ice feature is slow to make crushed ice.

Not enough lighting. Also light in top section of refrigerator hangs low and is in the way. Should have been a flush mount light. Other than that it is good. Ice maker is excellent.

My last refrigerator was an earlier model of the same GE side by side and it worked great for 25 years, needing only a Freon charge near the end of its life. What I love about this new model is the ability to see the temperatures of the Freezer & Fridge right on the door! The LED lighting also looks great, and creates zero heat when the door is opened. I strongly recommend this model fridge for anyone who needs one under 33 inches in width.

The frig looks great, runs quietly and fit our spot perfectly. The only complaint we have is the number of freezer shelves provided. There is clearly shelf supports for four yet only three shelves are provided leaving that odd gap shown between the bottom basket and the shelf above it. We purchased a fourth shelf through GE parts which gives us more storage capacity. We also found a 16™ lazy Susan to put on one of the refrigerator shelves which is nice for jars of condiments, etc. The door shelves seem very sturdy.

Really like the fridge but think that somehow the freezer should be a bit wider. It seems like the fridge runs often, but not as long as my last one. The ice maker is great, makes a good amount of ice in a timely fashion. Love the sliding shelves in refrigerator area.

We waited for 3 months to get our refrigerator and it was worth the wait. The ice maker makes so much more ice than our more expensive French door refrigerator which is great because we use lots of it. The veggie drawers keep every fruit and vegetable longer. This is my fourth refrigerator after several moves over the years and by far the best one I™™ve owned. The only issue I had is that it was missing the bottom freezer drawer but that could have been lost by the delivery people since they brought it inside my house already unboxed.
