This is a great dishwasher. I have them in several rental units that have very little space in the kitchen. This is a great option. However, the dishwashers are over 20 years old and need to be replaced. I can't find anything compatible with the space. My only other options are portable dishwashers or a complete redesign of the kitchen. Please bring back this dishwasher.

Please bring this product back! The one we have is from 2002. We recently replaced the door gasket. However, we are dreading the day when this can no longer be repaired and will need to be replaced. This is the perfect dishwasher for small kitchens. It does a great job of cleaning. We can't find any other alternatives.

I love my GE Spacemaker, model GSM2200V00BB. I think it is nearing the end of its normal life span. I wish this model had not been discontinued! Is there any chance it could be brought back? Is there any model that could replace it?

please bring this product back into production. i have a cabin in WV that has this product due to small cabin. there are about 100 cabins that have the same issue. the old model we have was destroyed by power failure and freezing temp ruined the motor request you start production once again

Our GE Spacemaker under-the-sink dishwasher was perfect for our tiny apartment kitchen. After 20 years it needs to be replaced. We are disappointed to learn that this model is no longer manufactured. We cannot afford to remodel our kitchen. Portable dishwashers and countertop dishwashers would not work for us due to very limited space. Can you provide the names of any stores in South Jersey that may have a leftover Spacemaker under-the-sink dishwasher on hand?

This was a crappy product to begin with. Poorly made but the only such product offered and GE took full advantage of their customers by overcharging. I allowed myself to be used in this way because of the small, railroad size of my kitchen. Now that it has been discontinued, I am up that well known creek with only expensive remodeling as my choice. The one certainty is that I will never purchase another GE product again. I'm DONE!

We™™ve had this dishwasher since 2007. It™™s been great. We™™d give it five stars. But after 18 years, it served us well. It's time to replace it, but we can™™t find a replacement. We™™d have to redo our entire kitchen to accommodate a more traditional option, and that™™s not realistic. Please offer an alternative to this under-the-sink dishwasher!

Like the other recent reviewers, I'm VERY disappointed to find I cannot buy a replacement. I will either have to go without a dishwasher or rip out the cabinets on one side of our kitchen, reconfigure, and install a conventional unit. This is very disapppointing.

Discontinued - Now I have to tear down half my kitchen to fit a full size dishwasher because the Spacemaker isn™™t working properly anymore. I™™m very upset. No other brand makes this size of dishwasher. You™™ve left your customers with no replacement options and now there are no dishwashers that fit in this space. I don™™t trust GE anymore and will not buy any GE products until this model is back on the market.

We have this dishwasher currently and after 17 years of use, it just died. We have no other option for a replacement. There is no room anywhere else in our kitchen for a dishwasher. We would have to completely redesign our entire kitchen to try and fit a standard dishwasher somewhere. Please start making it again! I will buy it in a heartbeat!

GE was the only one to make this model, I have a client who has this in their hotels across the country and need replacements! There is literally NOTHING out there like this. GE should reconsider bringing this model back! The alternative is to have them redo their millwork and cabinetry!

I saw that your GE Spacesaver Under the Sink dishwasher is no longer being manufactured. I am very disappointed. I am so happy with my GE Under the Sink dishwasher. I have been using it for years. It is great. I visited a friend's home over the weekend. Their kitchen needed this dishwasher, but I can't recommend it because it is no longer being manufactured. I don't know what I will do when I need a new one. My kitchen is too small for a regular dishwasher that is not under the sink. My friend's kitchen is too small for a regular dishwasher also. They need one that fits under the sink. Please reconsider making this "Under the Sink" dishwasher again. I know there are many homeowners that can benefit with an under the sink dishwasher. Most just don't know about it. I wouldn't have known about this type of dishwasher if I hadn't lived in an apartment that had one. Please reconsider making this dishwasher again, a perfect solution for a small kitchen that has no room for a regular dishwasher.

I'm on my second "spacemaker" dishwasher. It does a decent job of washing, but the space is quite limited. The first one finally died after 20 some years and one new motor. The new one is only a few years old the the bottom rack is rusting badly. I can't seem to find a replacement anywhere. Anyone else out there that has been able to find a repalcement bottom rack?

This model is definitely better than the Spacesaver model I had before, which I hadn't used for several years because it leaked. The new one is quieter and has a larger top rack. It gets the dishes perfectly clean on the Normal cycle without any rinsing beforehand. (I generally rinsed the dishes with the old one.) My chief criticism is the low clearance between the racks, which requires me to lean my dinner plates sideways and makes it difficult to be able to position the top rack over the bottom one. I haven't yet figured out how to fit a dinner plate into each slot of the lower rack, the way the owner's manual shows, and still be able to slide both racks fully into the machine. As a result, my recommendation applies only to people who require an under-the-sink dishwasher.

Because of limited space we needed a dishwasher that would fit under a kitchen sink, still have a reasonable amount of available space and work well. This unit fits the job nicely. Check the online installation manual before buying to make sure that you have the necessary clearances.

As almost everyone who has purchased this model knows the only choice we have is color! There is only one manufacturer and only one model for under-sink units. It is not the quietest machine on the market, it doesn't have alot of options, but it gets the job done. I replaced an almost 20 year old machine (same model) which gave me absolutely no problems the entire time I had it. Just got the new one because we changed all appliances to stainless steel. Like other reviews I've seen, the biggest complaint is the new layout of the lower rack. You would think that since the capacity of this machine is smaller due to the fact it looses interior space because it goes under the sink, that engineers would really find ways to make the best use of the rack space they have. Not so. I think I lost about 10-15% capacity just because of the layout of the lower rack. I even started looking on-line for replacement racks that would fit this machine that has a better layout. So.... good machine, just needs racks that make better use of limited space.

I can™™t even say it™™s better than no dishwasher at all, I told my husband to close up the hole with a cabinet. Positive are that it looks nicer than the old one and it doesn™™t leak.

I just read this review and it reflects my experience EXACTLY. I am so disappointed that after waiting 6 months to get the replacement, my dishes don't fit into the lower rack without bumping into the top rack.
WHY on earth did this redesign occur? Can I BUY an old lower rack? I am so unhappy about this as I love to entertain and need it to work for me. I am not buying new dishes to fit my dishwasher. HELP!

This is my second of this dishwasher. One was there when I bought my condo in 2010. Many people find this model challenging to install, but it's invaluable for an under-the-sink location (the only one possible). My new one cleans better than my older one that it replaced. It does need to use Finish as recommended, and also the Rinseaid. It did have a defective valve that had to be replaced within the first couple of years. So if you have trouble with it draining, contact GE and that is something that can be fixed on this expensive dishwasher. Also the racks rust easily, but I am now going to try the citric acid treatment recommended on the website and very much appreciate how much support GE provides! Hopefully this will do the trick and if not it turns out I can replace the bottom rack. I am very glad GE makes this machine!

I needed to replace a 30-40 year old under ther sink dishwasher. After checking out what was available I chose the GE model since the one I was replacing was a GE and it lasted so long. If I have one complaint it would be this, the drying cycle needs to be more complete.

This unit was purchased to replace an older model that had seen better days. While it does run quieter than the previous model, the redesigned lower tray makes it much more difficult to fit our dishes then the previous tray. The locking mechanism for the door is also much less sturdy, and the soft touch buttons on the front panel feel as if they may come loose at any time. in addition to all of this, it seems to take longer to run a lower than the previous model. So this leaves us with a dishwasher that takes longer to run, and can fit fewer dishes per load. It was nice to find this model available for purchase, considering we cannot fit a full-size dishwasher in our current space, but the minor differences in features compared to the previous model are something of a disappointment.

I needed an under the sink dishwasher to replace an old one in the condo I just purchased. The object of under the sink is that it would save cupboard space which is needed in a small kitchen.General Electric makes one of the few dishwashers like this that would fit in that space. I bought it and had my plumber install it. It works great and does a super job on cleaning. I don't advise it for a large family because it doesn't take as many dishes as a regular under the counter one. It was a great addition.

Brand new and the dishwasher is falling apart. It came with the house as a new build. I'm hoping to convince the builder to never use this one again. What a joke that it costs $1000 and it's a piece of junk! It's loud, and the racks are all falling off before even being used. I highly recommend NOT buying this piece of junk!

I've had this dishwasher for 2 years and now I'm needing to replace it because it doesn't clean my dishes (from the beginning) and now I'm finding mold growing along the side because it was leaking along the inside without my knowledge. Very loud as well.

I bought this to replace the one I had before since we put in stainless steel appliances. I was shocked when I tried to put my standard sized dinner plates in as I had always done before. They do not fit . No matter how I tried, the height of the shelves don't accommodate a regular dinner plate. Customer service told me it's "buyer's remorse." I should have researched it beforehand. However, this model is the same as the one I had and is never available to see in stores. I use GE due to their servicing availability. They just lost me as a customer. There is a defect in the new design and they should own up to it. I paid $900.00 for a dishwasher that cannot wash my dishes. Who's fault is that?
