Great for Under Sink!

My husband and I bought this in 2021 after the one that came with our apartment back in 1994 stopped working after 27 years of excellence. We have a typical small apartment in NYC and it is the ONLY one that fits in our super tiny kitchen! The quality has always been terrific, and we'd be lost without it. PLEASE don't stop making this terrific product!!!

Cleans very well, even pots and pans. With use of finishing product in reservoir, no spots are on glasses or silverware. Heat dry does dry very well. The reason it's 3 stars is the size. I had to buy smaller dishes, my dinner plates would not fit. The top shelf is really only a half shelf. The back of that shelf is ok for very short things, like little pet bowls or spatulas, but doesn't fit even short glasses. My previous dishwasher was full size and this one seems apartment sized on the inside, although the outside is the same size.

Had this installed 4/13/2019. Barely used as we handwash dishes most of the time. Not draining water as of today, 7/21/2023. Motor gone. Expected it would last much longer than 4 years. Very disappointed.

For as much as this dishwasher costs, I feel that it doesn't line up with the others on the market. When your budget for your kitchen doesn't include a total remodel and this is your only option- it just seems unfair. The price is very high and the quality is low. We've replaced the dishwasher once already and the highly expensive racks keep rusting! The only metal being washed is our silverware - everything else is ceramic or plastic. I'd love to replace our racks a 3rd time, but I can't justify the price. Cleaning the filter is a nightmare compared to other dishwashers on the market. After all these years this dishwasher hasn't moved forward in ease of upkeep or nor quality for the price. GE do better!

After 2 backorder delays arrived w/defective fill valve. Online service scheduling needs updated to real time. Local tech ordered new valve today. I expect better from GE! Always had good luck w/GE. Still think they are good products based on past experience.

Thank God GE is still making this under the sink dishwasher. My original machine I had was bought with the house so I dont know how long it was installed before I bought the house, but it did last me 16 years until it went bad. It's just a shame it has to be so pricey, but that's the typical supply and demand of an item. Other than that works great.

This review is specifically about the under sink space saver dishwasher. I had one in an apartment in the early 90™™s and found it very effective. When renovated the kitchen in my condo I wanted a dishwasher and installed one. The newer version was not as attractive as the old one in my rental unit and the space inside is not as functional, but the performance is excellent. The dishes, glasses and pots and pans come out sparkling clean. It is a very good alternative to save space and use an an everyday dishwasher. When entertaining I often need to load and wash two or three times to get all the dishes and glassware done. I would like to see the under sink dishwasher updated with the features many full size machines have.

GE is the only company that still makes an under counter unit and we appreciate it. Our last GE dishwasher in this rental unit lasted 22 years! Yes we wished the price was lower, but when space is of a premium - something has to give! Very expensive to do anything else but replace unit with similar unit.

This is hands down the worst dishwasher I've ever used. By the very design it isn't capable of washing dishes. Using expensive detergent helps, but still doesn't negate the need to run the hot water before starting and washing the dishes by hand before using the machine. We frequently have dishes covered in crud from other dishes that got sprayed around. It has only a single sprayer in the bottom and a spout in the middle that unreliably squirts some water on the dishes in the top rack. There is no sprayer in-between the racks so only the parts that are reachable by the sprayer at the bottom get cleaned and the silverware really only gets water dripped on them which doesn't remove food particles.

The dishwasher works fine. It has very basic features. The price is high for the construction and features but it is the only under sink dishwasher available, so you really have no choice if you're using the dishwasher under a sink. I would rather have this dishwasher than no dishwasher.
